And definitely new lore information. I'm going to read the hell out of those new codex entries :D

All the discussions we've had about the lore so far have been so amazing. I learned so much, because it's been about so many topics, including those related to science that usually make me go "uh?"Idk, Mass Effect has always encouraged me to ask questions and try to understand concepts that might seem hard to understand at first.

And as much as I like to complain about the lore not giving us enough, I'm happy it didn't give us too much, otherwise we'll have all our answers and we wouldn't discuss the lore as much as we do - which would be bad, because discussing the lore is my favorite thing. I like that we don't know everything so we have to speculate, rely on each other's expertise, etc.  We're a ship and getting new lore is like getting more fuel for the journey. 

I’m also excited about SLOANE. CRAFTING. RYDER FAMILY. VETRA. DRACK. LIAM. CORA. PEEBEE. TOO MANY THINGS TO LIST THEM ALL!!!!

Holy shit this is hands down the best ask I’ve ever gotten let’s go through this salt source.

The most important thing to understand abt shameless hate is that IT IS ENTIRELY DESERVED and also extra vicious bc of the betrayal

bc it started off as this show about a group of siblings who were all raising each other bc their mom is gone (and sucks when she does show up) and they basically have a magikarp for a dad.

and we have these really great moments like kids loving each other and depending on each other through hardships and all these really deep, loving, complex relationships that are all different. 

AND THEN THE FIRE NATION ATTACKED

just kidding but the show did jump the shark, and in a big way.

also I’m posting this WAY LATE omg 

and not like, in that things got implausible and the dialogue became corny or anything like that. it betrayed and got rid of everything that made it a success in the first place.

they systematically DESTROYED the gay pairing (ian/mickey) that they had been building since THE FIRST SEASON, this pairing that was getting them HEAPS of praise from fans, from critics, from lgbt+ groups. Like they were like “clearly this interesting relationship between two boys who love each other but aren’t sure what to do about it and are struggling with shared ptsd over a non-consensual sexual situation they were forced into bc of their relationship. everything everyone says about it is good! what do we do next???? i know….what if….they didn’t like each other. what IF.”

tbh i’m not even sure HOW ianmickey ended bc i noped the fuck out of the show before i had to see the writers piss on the burnt remains of what i’d once loved

a second season episode challenges the idea that females can’t rape males, only to have the person who challenged that idea agree that the idea of a girl raping a guy is ridiculous and impossible, only a few seasons later

two female characters are written out for….no discernible reason really. actually, they wrote one female character out by having another RUN HER OVER WITH A CAR out of jealousy over a boy yaaaaawn

a supportive, if often problematic mother/daughter relationship was ended over the mother choosing a different baby over her daughter and also sleeping with the daughter’s ex

the eldest sibling, who has put her entire life on hold for her siblings, and her raising them IS THE WHOLE POINT AND FOCUS OF THE SHOW, is all of a sudden thrown under the bus for any sort of mistake, and eventually becomes so ooc that she’s unrecognizable. to add insult to that injury, a fuck up leads to her total humiliation and disgrace and she has to prove herself AGAIN. like she hasn’t been doing it for years.
