18. Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
ooooh this one’s fun bc it’s different for each of them!
aries admires wisdom. he likes clever people, ones who are smart enough to make deals that will actually benefit them (but still dumb enough to make the deals). he’s amused by people who try to outwit him and if someone is smart enough, clever enough, he’s more likely to be kinder to them than he needs to, to let them live a little longer than strictly necessary.
zarina admires ambition. she likes people who want something so bad, they won’t let anything stand in their way, will do whatever it takes to accomplish their goals. especially mortals. she thinks it’s fascinating that they have so little time and fight so hard to get everything they want. however! unlike aries, zarina isn’t kinder to people whose ambition she admires. in fact, she thinks it’s a lot more fun to take everything from someone who wanted it all so badly.
19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
okay i mean obvs the murder is a problem but that aside…
zarina doesn’t take much seriously?? and that makes it hard sometimes to like. have expectations of her or like. want anything reliable from her? she’s very much the type of person to make plans with you and then find something more fun to do and just disappear for like a week and not see a problem with that when she turns back up. it doesn’t work well for stability in a relationship. (though if you want stability, maybe zarina isn’t a good person to go for to begin with.)
aries is… kind of a lot? possessive isn’t quite a good description, though he is possessive but it’s not just that. he’s protective, but in a way that tends to be inconvenient at best and infuriating at worst. and he likes to spoil the people he cares about, but what he considers a gift isn’t always a gift to the receiver. he’s just… he tends to be very overwhelming.
20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
aries and zarina are both people who like themselves quite a lot. they’re very comfy in their own skins and with who they are as people, from their softer sides to their more vicious sides. when they were younger, before they met each other, they both felt a little out of place with their own kind. aries is too playful, zarina too chipper. they’re both troublemakers and the others of their species didn’t appreciate it. but now they know they’re not alone and they don’t really worry about the things that make them different anymore.
