okay but when you ~*have a title*~… I’m a solid 3.5 chapters into my first longfic since my ff.net days and i haven’t posted anything bc i can’t come up with a half decent title for the thing

honestly wait as long as possible to come up with a title..... the more you get to know about your story the better the title can end up being

Inquisitor Asks: #4 for Tamera, #12 for Varisa, #39 Lucia? :D

s#4: Alliance with the Mages or the Templars? Explain why.

Tamera allied with the Templars because she trusts warriors and likes her mages on a short, well-controlled leash. They’re dangerous in an unpredictable way, and she both trusted Templars more and felt that if they got out of line, she could put them down with far more ease. Not to mention that she thinks that the mage rebellion was unjustified: it’s not like mages are the only group in Thedas with problems, and at least theirs came with an ivory tower.

#12: How does your Inquisitor deal with traitors?

Varisa encourages a swift and merciless end to traitors. Treating traitors kindly just gets you more traitors and more good people dead, and making sure that people who double-cross you meet a swift end sends the kind of message that deters all the rest.

#39: Does your Inquisitor feel threatened while travelling close to red lyrium? How do they feel about it?

Lucia absolutely feels threatened by it. She’s a Templar by specialization and headcanon backstory, so it feels deeply wrong to her and being near it feels like tempting disaster. She’s also a good, upstanding Free Marcher, so she remembers what happened when there was red lyrium in Kirkwall all too well.

7: Do they believe the Chantry functions as it is? What would they change?

Since Rhuain kind of rides this Buddist/Agnostic kind of respect line between traditional Andrastian beliefs and the following of the Dalish (as a Tabris-turned-Lavellan) he’s kind of Hands Off about it. Like he’ll respect the Chantry so long as it serves and aids its people - and honestly its been so long since I played DA:I i barely remember anything about the Chantry there but Leliana ended up the Divine, so.

13: Which factors play a significant role for them to recruit people for the Inquisition?

“Do I like you?” paired with “What would my sister, the Hero of Ferelden and the most selfless person I know, do?” (he... kind of idolizes her. he’s a bit of a chipper fuck a la dorian and sera but does at least pay attention to what is a Right Choice.)

25: Name a person they respect.

He ADORES Josephine and Vivienne. Both are examples of incredible self control around others who see them lesser or would otherwise treat them cruelly, and both have still retained their compassion. (Josephine especially reminds him a lot of his sister Peromia Tabris - both very long-suffering, conflict-avoiding people.)
