❣️ When did your OC first realise they were in love? How did they react to the realisation?
This is actually somewhat of a tricky question, mostly because Ev doesn’t really do “admitting difficult things to herself”. Before she leaves the Imperial military, she tells herself that they’re just friends and she only likes being around him because he’s one of the few people she can actually trust (not to mention one of the people she isn’t actively spying on). Then, after she’s gone, she tells herself she only misses him because they were friends. Then he comes and finds her, and she tells herself the only reason she’s so touched is because of the alcohol. (Basically Ev finds a lot of reasons to pretend she doesn’t have feelings.) So Calo eventually says “hey dance with me” at the coronation and they do and she’s like “ohshit.exe” cause she finally admits it to herself. She refuses to look at him for the next three days before finally yelling her feelings at him in the middle of the throne room. Khamira won 20 gold for her being first to fess up.
💝 What kinds of gifts does your OC receive from their partner(s)? What kinds of gifts do they give in return?
They trade dossiers. (Only half joking, sometimes they’ll be comparing notes or leaving each other papers and they’ll scribble hearts on top of them and other ridiculous things.) They both have a slight taste for the finer things in life and, being employed by monarchs, typically the means to get them for one another, so if they see something they think the other would like (perfume, bath oils, an amulet, whatever) they’ll pick it up. Other than that, they don’t really hold to anniversaries or birthdays or anything and prefer to just do small favors for one another rather than one big thing once in a while.
💖 What are some little subtle ways they show that they love each other?
Evelyne lets Calo touch her hair. This is a big deal for her, she’s (when not actively trying to drink herself to death) very particular about her hair and takes extremely good care of it. So letting someone else touch it is a huge sign of trust for her. (She also likes playing with his hair - fair is fair.) She’s also very affectionate, but only in private, and Calo tends to be the same way, so any sort of public affection is also a Big DealTM for them. They’re just very cute dorks and I love them a lot lol
