<> The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group, commonly known as the "Boneyard," is the world's largest aircraft storage and preservation facility. It houses thousands of retired military aircraft from various branches of the U.S. armed forces, as well as some from foreign allies. The Boneyard's primary function is to store, maintain, and reclaim parts from these aircraft, supporting military readiness and saving taxpayer dollars.
