Was Girgol always a vampire or was he previously human? Who turned him into a vampire? Do you have children with Latil? (are they women or children)
I saw a Spoiler that said Girgol was a paladin before, but not if it's true.
Who is Arital is or was Girgol's wife.
Girgol really loves Latil or not.
Girgol wanted Domis or Anya.
What is Girgol's romantic relationship with Latil like?
I saw a spoiler on Webtoon that said Girgol was no longer a match for Latil, in fact. (Most spoilers in English webtoon are very strange and sometimes ridiculous) But I didn't know if it was true. So I wanted to ask you. (don't worry about spoilers)
☺️
Hi!! Yes, Girgol was a paladin who was originally human. He turned into a vampire when Arital (Latil in her first life) awakened. He had two sons with Latil in her first life. He can’t have children, but one of his sons appears a lot in the story later on and has many scenes with him and Latil.
Girgol and Arital were in some sort of arranged marriage and loved each other. Girgol does love Latil but his feelings are really complicating. In my opinion, it went from ‘like’ to ‘love’ (there’s also the thing about Latil being the most similar to Arital out of all Lords. Maybe that was why Girgol was so interested in Latil and fell for her when she was Sadille).
Haha, Girgol didn’t want Anya, he actually thought of her as annoying lol. I’m not sure if Girgol wanted Domis as in like that, but he did have some obsession/love with Domis that later turned to love/hate.
I’m not sure how to describe Latil & Girgol’s romantic relationship… but they really care for each other andhave lots of funny & cute scenes together. He also sometimes gets jealous of the other consorts and teases her. I always love reading their scenes 😂
I’m not sure what that webtoon comment mean when they said “not a match for Latil” 🤔 I didn’t know people were posting spoilers there lol. But don’t worry, Girgol is still with Latil in the end (the last chapter is even kind of about him lmao)
I hope I was able to answer your questions well 😊 feel free to ask anything more if you’re confused
Contexts: Latil asked Baek Hwa to find out more about the story of the first Lord - Arital, and the correlation between the rise of monsters and Lord every 500 years. There were two reasons for her request: 1) she wanted both Girgol and Sipisa to reconcile, but she had no memories of what happened to Arital's family in the past; 2) Baek Hwa was still on the fence whether to take Lord's side or not, he needed proof that Lord wasn't evil by nature.
In previous chapter, Baek Hwa came back bearing bad news about Arital's past. She was originally a high priest, who got married to a paladin (holy knight) named Girgol <- remember this important fact. They had twins named Sipisa and Cel. She committed the grave sin of filicide, by killing one of the boys. Girgol came back from the temple, only to witness his strangled son lying at the feet of his wife (he had a nightmare flashback of this in C523). As Arital went completely haywire, Girgol immediately escaped with the other son, presumably Cel, who later became the first ever Adversary.
Okay, here's the confusing part. From Baek Hwa's research, Latil concluded that it was Arital who killed Sipisa. But that young man is still alive, currently living inside the palace. Sipisa absolutely loathed Girgol, while trying to earn Latil's affection by cooking for her (even though the dishes were bland as hell). Unless the Chairman had brainwashed Sipisa into thinking that Girgol was the murderer, there was no reason why he couldn't forgive his own father who did nothing wrong. Some people in the Naver fandom still think it was Cel who killed Sipisa, not Arital (I shared their opinions too).
⏩ Okay, back to today's chapter which had me @#)?!;× Latil decided to apologize to Girgol after finding out the truth. She previously thought Girgol was the guilty party and asked him to apologize to Sipisa first. She went to the greenhouse and Girgol was in a good mood. She even wrapped her legs around his torso as he gently carried her to the sofa.
"Actually, I need to tell you something."
"I love you too."
"No, it's not about that." (Ouch, lady. Ouch)
"Then?"
Girgol looked at Latil as though she was the loveliest person in the world. Everything went downhill once Latil opened her mouth 😞.
"Somehow, I found out about your past."
*alexa, plays funeral dirge* Girgol thought Latil had finally regained Arital's memories. But no, our dear Latil confessed that it was Baek Hwa who informed her after investigating about Lord & monsters. 💀 (I was screaming "Run, Baek Hwa! Run to Guesta and hide in his fox den!") Then, Girgol's expression began to change. His gaze became empty. Latil apologized again and lied that she didn't conduct a background check on him purposely. 🤦🏻♀ Girgol isn't as dumb as Klein, please.
"My lady, it doesn't matter if you 'remember' the past or not. I don't want you to piece together the scraps that rats had been collecting."
With that, Girgol left the greenhouse. Latil tried to chase him down, but got tripped by a barrel instead. Girgol appeared in the blink of an eye to help her regain balance before vanishing again. Latil broke down in tears while drinking the flower tea Girgol had made after tasting each petal for her 🥺😭.
It was dawn as Jaisin finished his routine exercise. A smiling Girgol came to his room and greeted him politely. Looking at his bright smile, Jaisin thought "How come the other consorts are so scared of this man?" 😬 Ofc, Girgol was there for a reason.
"Where's the baby's room?"
"Over ther-"
BANG!
Girgol smashed the door of Baek Hwa's bedroom to pieces, before bending his neck sideway. Poor Gubel, who was following Jaisin, screamed bloody murder. Jaisin began to pour divine power into Baek Hwa as Girgol refused to put him down. Once his neck was back to the original state, Baek Hwa protested, "What's this for?!" Then, Girgol twisted his neck to the other side (repetition is boring, right?) and asked, "Will it stick to your neck after I pull it off?" ☠️ Knowing that he couldn't overpower Girgol, Jaisin released his divine power onto the mad vampire's arms... It doesn't work on him at all. Other vampires like Carlein or Sonnaught would've been purified and dissolved at that moment. Why? Becos Girgol was a paladin. Holy water, amulets, divine power etc had ZERO effects on him. Amid the chaos, something suddenly flew past Girgol's head. It was a dagger. He managed to dodge it, but it left a cut on the side of his neck. Girgol turned around, and behind him, stood the most beautiful man on the planet, Ranamun 🌝.
Prediction: The title of next chapter would be "In memoriam, luna" if Latil (or even Guesta) don't make it in time.
I want to know more about Girgol and Arital's relationship >-<
Hi!! I’m afraid I don’t remember or know much 😭
What I know is that they were in an arranged marriage (Girgol was a paladin and Arital was the high priest), and Arital is said to be really similar to Latil. I think the backstory where Latil dreamed of her first life was unfortunately mostly tragedy? It’s chapter 642-654 if you’re curious. Latil dreamed of Arital again in the side stories, and Arital and Girgol were happy (and kind of loving) in that side story.
I’m sorry I couldn’t really say much 😓 I used to jump from ch to ch (not in order), so there’s lots of information I actually don’t know about, and I didn’t want to say anything I’m not sure about. But I’m slowly rereading the novel from chapter 350+ (I’m currently at ch 390), so I’ll make sure to return to your question later on when I reach those chapters again 😊
I think you probably know about everything I said here 💀 I was going to answer your question later when I know more, but I knew that’s going to be after months, so I just decided to answer now with what I know lmao.
if you have any other questions, feel free to ask me anytime!! I like answering questions about the novel
P.S here is the summary of chapter 642-654 if you need it https://www.tumblr.com/blog/view/clanlessrebel/685556067871096832?source=share
You think they're going to attack the village that created Arital? Perhaps that is where the idea arises that the Lord is in favour of the Monsters when it is actually an attempt to control them.
