I'm tempted to spam my twt tl with Betrayal of Dignity manhwa & novel just to annoy some ppl who think they have the moral high ground for liking stories with green flag or flawless characters only.

"How dare you enjoy reading dark romance?! You must loathe women in real life then!" 🙄 Oh please, I'm a fucking adult who knows how to separate fiction from reality.

I draw the line at SA or physical abuse, though. I'll drop the story instantly if the ML crosses that line. The only thing they deserve is jail sentence, not redemption, let alone a happy ending.

It's totally fine to like/hate certain problematic 2D characters. Just don't go attacking some real human beings for having different preferences or opinions from you. This world would be a boring place if everyone was the same.

After reading a shitload of toxic k-manhwas for the past year or so, my taste in 2D men has changed... for the worse 🚩🚩 but still, it was fun watching Lale/Laia getting caught up in a pissing contest between two historical figures, like even Noe was baffled by her sudden change of heart 😵‍💫

*I tend to change LI mid-series, so that's why Loki ranked so high. I also switched from Adil to Zain in s2 for shits and giggles 🫠

so. my laptop is Deceased, which means I don’t have half of my pdf library (because I wasn’t able to back it all up yet. weeping and wailing), and THAT means that I have a much smaller pool of texts to work off with and cite, so. this is a much more direct glimpse into my thoughts when I’m reading ancient sources and don’t have the poetry of scholars to direct my imagination

anyway, the tris homines alliance is also an informal club for people that had weird but formative relationships with sulla. like. a real Make Them Worse situation happened there. crassus becomes someone who is half shadowy rumor behind every dealing in the eyes of others, pompey and caesar drag rome back into civil war, sulla says that caesar resembles marius but it’s sulla’s playbook that caesar later runs. everyone dies in places where they do not expect to die.

Which part of my original post (1st pic) blamed Remy for the toxicity of kpop industry? 🤔 I made it clear that GOE actually suits her perfectly judging by her previous comments and her stories on RC so far.

1. Colourism - Many people (especially Indians) have rightfully complained about the whitewashing of MCs and other Indian characters in KCD. Meanwhile, colourism (and racism) is a huge problem in kpop industry (not only that, but in S.Korea as a whole). But for this story, RC has legitimate reasons to use light-skinned MCs for once.

2. Body image issues - I've seen many posts questioning about the lack of curvy MC options in all of Remy's stories. Some people even went as far as accusing her of being pro-anorexia (must be something she said in response to those criticisms). Ironically, a curvy MC/idol wouldn't make sense in GOE.

3. Toxic fan culture - Remy herself was part of the toxic RC fandom on VK. This isn't a baseless accusation, but facts. So yeah, she will undoubtedly know how to tackle this issue in the story.

Even though Anastasia is the writer, I can see why Remy is heavily involved in the creation of this story. To say it bluntly, her personality and track record as an author are very similar to the culture of kpop industry.

I'm not going to reply to that person nor tag them bcos I rmb their name from an RC discord group that I was unfortunately part of 🙂

LOL this is wild. I never thought RC would get tangled up with a manhwa I've read 😂

I don't know anything about Remy's story, nor do I intend to play it. However, "Lies Become You" (the official title of that manhwa) has nothing to do with Egyptian mythology. The FL is an actress/femme fatale who got betrayed by her client and was sentenced to death. She then escaped through a boat, not knowing that it was owned by her former enemy, the prince of a faraway empire (ML). Halid decided to hire her to pretend to be his wife since he helped her to escape.
