This is how things have gone. I’m a Hunter x Hunter fan who loves Hisoka, but due to Togashi's slow updates, I decided to start reading and writing fanfics. When I finished all the stories on Wattpad, Tumblr, and AO3, I decided to give Webtoon a chance, and that’s when I found " I Am the Villain. I found the story entertaining — about a girl who enters a book and tries to do things right, even though she’s the villain. But who would’ve thought I’d find a very handsome red-haired character similar to Hisoka?
However, it doesn’t seem like he’ll end up with the girl. When I saw it was possible to find characters similar to Hisoka, I started looking through Webtoon covers for red-haired male leads. My logic was that if he was on the cover, then he was sure to end up with the protagonist. That’s when I found I’m the Queen in This Life. But I was terribly deceived; Caesar, the red-haired character very similar to Hisoka, was actually the villain in the novel and didn’t seem likely to ride off into the sunset with the girl.
It was frustrating! Still, I kept going until the episodes ran out, and I had to find something else to entertain myself with. Then Men of the Harem came along, and there was a redhead on the cover, Lord Sonnaugh!
With a devoted and sweet personality, he wasn’t anything like Hisoka, but he was cute and red-haired, so all my affection went to him — until Girgol appeared.
I really hated it when Girgol showed up because Carlein left and Sonnaugh went back to Melosi, and they were my favorite characters. But I realized that the more I read about Girgol, the more I liked his personality. He was simply charming just like Hisoka.
And then, I didn’t want anyone else for Latil except Girgol. His backstory was simply wonderful, but then the writer decided to neglected Girgol, he didn’t get any more sex, Latil didn’t care about him, and in the end, it was truly frustrating again.
Webtoon deceived me once more.Thank God Togashi is back, along with my beloved Hisoka, and I won’t have to look for more novels that lack development."
