Thinking about Perry having a panic attack around Doofenshmirtz and acting so unusual it surprises him.
So like I'm imagining he has OCD and he's paranoid that directly interacting with a certain number will kill his entire family and it'll be his fault. So he ends up in an elevator with Doofenshmirtz that he already hates being in because numbers but it's whatever the floor he's going to is a safe number but he presses the wrong number on accident and the number that's the evil bad number that will kill his family. And Doofenshmirtz is mildly annoyed but doesn't feel that strongly about the inconvenience. He would be more upset but he's distracted by Perry who's standing there looking completely catatonic. And he tries to talk to Perry but he doesn't respond at all. No nonverbal communication or anything he's just standing there like a brick. And Doofenshmirtz gets a little weirded out and then he gets worried. And they get to their floor and he gently picks up Perry so they can get out of the way for other people and Perry doesn't resist and hugs onto his arm without thinking. And now Doofenshmirtz can feel his heart beating like crazy and shivering like he's freezing and he wonders if he's having a seizure for a moment because his breathing is a little shallow but no. He's not twitching, he's not stiff. He's just catatonic. And he sits down with him in the hallway with him on his lap. And he remembers Perry likes to be squeezed so he takes a risk and hugs him tight and it seems to wake up the platypus a little because he hugs back without thinking because he's that anxious. The squeezing is enough to ground him enough to relax. Once Perry is properly responding he lets him go and he wants to run away and check if he's family didn't get blown up with radiation or something. But he's so tired from the panic attack. He checks the cameras on his watch and they're fine, he's ignoring Doofenshmirtz while he's checking. Once he knows they're safe he plops to the ground laying down. And Doofenshmirtz is asking questions but Perry expresses that he's not answering him. But in a way that's still AN answer, which Doofenshmirtz wanted at bare minimum. So he gently picks up Perry and takes him into his appointment to give him water because he looks so pale and tired. He feels so weird because he's never seen Perry in this state before. He ends up just taking a nap on Doofs lap while Doofenshmirtz pets his back and wonders what the fuck happened
Welcome back to Phobia of the Week!
🔢This week’s phobia is Arithmophobia, the fear of numbers.
Some might specifically fear numbers such as 13 or 666 due to association with bad luck.
Do you have any unique interpretations of this phobia? Feel free to reply to this post with your ideas!

Shout out to folks with Arithmophobia!
Someone look up Anatidaephobia for me and confirm that: 1. It exists, 2. That it's as specific as it apparently is and 3. That it's as common as 1 in 435 if only 1 in 450 have Arithmophobia.
I refuse to believe that this is more common than the fear of f*cking MATHS!
Arithmophobia be like:
Arithmophobia advice? List of numbers and dates really freak my brain out, but just a plain number by itself is fine. Number crosswords are the worst though.
Arithmophobia is the irrational fear of numbers, also called numerophobia, although some people just have an irrational fear of specific numbers as opposed to all numbers.
Like 666 for example. 13 for another.
But do people fear irrational or rational numbers more, and on a scale of one to ten how bad is that fear?
