Day 3: Story to Story
Due to my life being busy today, I am going to do a confession style post for YGO 5Ds Month 2020.
PROMPT: Our tale begins with a fast-paced story that takes us through the city’s tournament with the Fortune Cup, the Satellite’s peril with the Dark Signer’s, to Crash Town, to once again Neo Domino City’s action with the World Racing Grand Prix to the conclusion with the Ark Cradle. Which arc was your favorite?

My favorite arc was, strangely, the Ark Cradle one. I loved the darker undertones of Yusei’s life in peril, as well as the others. Lots of characters died. Lots of characters came back, and the torture they went through to prevent the end of the world was fabulous.
Not gonna lie, one of my favorite episodes was Jack, Lua, Luka vs. Aporia. Their lives under threat with needles inching toward their hearts was aching, making me worried for their safety. Luka’s life points diminishing due to her fragile state is nightmare fuel. Jack taking a large chunk of life points off at once but being a father figure to Lua is glorious. And watching Lua die is heart breaking. There are so many dynamics in this one moment that are fanfic fuel. I’ve used so many elements from this arc to develop my stories and even though it was one of the shorter ones, it’s my favorite.
As a person who loves angst and horror and heartbreak, Ark Cradle really peaked my interest. 😉 and I still come back to those episodes to develop my themes ❤️
