ah yes, he was in season 5! and then mysteriously disappeared for season 6, which is when Paget Brewster appeared. I actually had the same reaction to him--“wow, would not have thought this was his genre/that it could be sustained for a whole season but it was actually quite good.

I liked season 5 better than season 4, actually, so if you feel like going back and continuing, I’d recommend it. you don’t really need the context of rewatching the whole thing...
