The Next Penelope coming to Switch ⊟
Another indie game I wanted to play, but never did! The Switch is going to gobble ‘em all up.
The Next Penelope is an action/racing/Iliad game by Aurelien Regard, who you may know as a founding member of Arkedo Studio, developer of games like Hell Yeah, Nervous Brickdown, and Big Bang Mini. I miss Arkedo a lot.

SEGA Horror Fest Review: Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit
#SEGA Horror Fest Review: Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit
In the spirit of joining my fellow SEGA Nerds teammates, I decided to join the Annual SEGA Horror Fest with a review. While I may not be the most appropriate person to talk about Halloween, since we don’t celebrate it in my country, I tried to choose a title that’s more related to our “Día de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead), our national holiday that embraces our joy for life, the cult and…

Poof vs. The Cursed Kitty
This game is a tower defense but instead of protecting any kind of base you're protecting a pink kitty cat that lays golden eggs. You must protect the kitty from wave upon wave of monsters. To do this you jump on the baddies, throw flaming knives, build defensive turrets, leave poops to slow those suckers down, and more.
The developers also added quests for you to unlock so that there was more to the game then just monster killing. Some of the quests are silly like you have to leave a certain number of poops around but most are things like killing a certain number of monsters or building a number of turrets. Some of the quests will be really easy but for the most part they can be pretty difficult. There are tons of different quests for you and each time you complete a series of them you will gain access to some new power or upgrade.
The controls are all pretty simple especially if you use a controller. You jump with the A button, move with the left joystick, B is your power ups, etc. The graphics remind me of a Behemoth title, which I love. The characters are all really cute and humorous. The monsters are all really different and I love the idea of a little dog dressed as a knight protecting a kitty cat.
Poof may sound silly and easy but it is actually a pretty difficult game. Perhaps I am not the best player but this game really does maintain a great level of difficulty with the swarms of monsters and the big area you have to watch over. Throughout the game (so far) I have died about the same amount.
Poof is a lighthearted mass of time eating fun and I love it. If you are looking for a great pick up and put down game this is it. It will not only be fun for you but for the whole family. The silliness and difficulty will keep you engaged for hours and for $7 you can't go wrong with Poof vs. The Cursed Kitty.

Arkedo Officially Announces Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit
Last year, it was revealed that Arkedo would be teaming up with SEGA for a project titled "Project Hell Yeah". Today, Arkedo has officially released the game's debut trailer, also revealing its new title.
Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a gory platformer starring Ash, who is the prince of Hell and he is a very, very angry rabbit. Angry rabbits ruling Hell. GENIUS!
