Please consider the following: The Librarian is a giant nerd who lifts giant swords for very small, genderless children who only have to blink at him. Also please note the very baggy pants which he wears underneath his usual robe. His legs are very Skinny McKinnykins looking without the pants to give that illusion of thick legs.

I got more copics yesterday, so obviously I needed to do another doodle.

I was experimenting with this new iPad art app I discovered called Inkist (currently free), and man.... I have no idea how to resize stuff in there, which is okay, but it made certain things difficult. I couldn't find any sort of in-app tutorial for how it works, but it DID open up opportunities for extensive fiddling around. Also, you only have three layers (foreground, midground, background), and the blur tool can be a bit tricky (from what I've found). I'd definitely recommend it for some fun experimenting, though. And the Librarian seems to be my go-to character at the moment for figuring out new art apps.

Some sketches of Arkelo and the Librarian, now that I’ve figured out their heights (4’2” and 14’5”). I’m looking forward to finishing the Prologue of the comic and starting up the story proper.

In all of us, there is a keyhole, waiting for us to pick it and discover our best selves.

In all of us, there is a self-made monster, offering materials to clog the keyhole and take the path that is easier, but by no means better.

On either path is a match, so that we may light our lantern and help one flame or another to light the way we have chosen. Sometimes we light this flame for ourselves.

Sometimes we light it for others.

Who even knows where that was going. Just a quick doodle for my second comic, which does not yet have a cover or any pages, but it does have a blog.
