Music Monday! Arkomo Edition
When I was 23, I thought I was hot shit. Spoiler: I was not.
Sam Anderson, however, is. This young dude is not only the cellist for like a thousand bands (you probably know him from Hey Marseilles), he also has a pretty impressive solo-ish project called Arkomo happening right now. He played the Columbia City Theatre on Saturday night and basically charmed the pants on every person there, even when he ran out of batteries and especially when he played -- no joke -- an aqua-colored melodica.
So for Music Monday, familiarize yourself with the sounds of this Official Be Our Boyfriend candidate. You can read a great article about him here.
Arkomo - Dirty Flag (Live on KEXP)
Arkomo is the solo music project by Seattle-based producer Sam Anderson, cellist of the band Hey Marseilles.
Anderson is debuting with "Ace Imagery" on Whooping Crane Records, but he has already a great background, touring with Damien Jurado or performing with Weezer, The Head and the Heart, and Sea Wolf.
Video recorded on December 21, 2013 at the KEXP studio.

Listen to: In the Fall by Arkomo
This is one of my favorite tracks off Sam's new record.
Last night I saw Arkomo, a project by Seattle producer Sam Anderson, and he was fantastic. Seattlites keep your eyes peeled for more shows around town!
