The Ark Worlds Project takes in strong people (good, bad, or neutral) just moments before their natural death. That process involves implantation and testing. At the beginning of Ark Worlds, the party was passed through fluid-filled tubes in a dark blue metallic structure, passing by various people. They were tested in combat, then sent to the Ark Worlds Project proper. This process is called "The Dream" by Ark World natives, who did not undergo the cataloguing process. You can tell if a person is an Ark World native or not based on the specimen implant in the wrist region.

Important Concepts: Hero's Dreams

In The Ark Worlds, those branded with a specimen implant device on their wrist are sometimes subject to special dreams. During these dreams, people find themselves locked in battle with dangerous, fearsome foes in dire circumstances. The situations one may end up in during a Hero's Dream are varied to an infinite degree, however the person always wakes up at 5am sharp (local time) and has their bodies and equipment mended. These dreams only happen to those with a wrist implantation.
