What's your opinion of the Companions?

"Good folk," Arlain said with a shrug of her shoulders. "Regarded as heroes 'round these parts. Rightly so, in most cases. They're essentially unofficial guards - with a bit more muscle 'n leeway when it comes to bendin' the rules."

"Would you ever give up being the Dragonborn for the right offer, if it were possible?"

"Don't think I'd really need an offer to give up bein' the Dragonborn, mage," Arlain admitted, ignoring the twinge of guilt in her stomach. "Not fit for the job. Plenty of others could do better."

Can you see any positives to being dragonborn?

"Positives? Y’mean everyone acts like I’m a savior to Nirn? Like I can stop anything? Like I can keep the dragons from killin’?" The guard practically snapped the responses, a frown on her face.

"Just cause I take their souls, don’t mean I can stop all of ‘em. I damn near died each time I came face-to-face with one’a those bastards ‘n I don’t think I’ll be lucky every time after that. I don’t want to be a Dragonborn. I’m not the savior everyone thinks I am. I’m… just one person."

Are you particularly interested in any subjects?

Arlain blinked at the mage, uncertainty on her face.

"…I like huntin’, fishin’, guardin’, readin’, ‘n swimmin’," she replied with some hesitation. "Unless you mean any… educational subjects. Then… no?"

The guard says nothing, but her eyes flick to the dragon skull in her home.

"…my intelligence?"

Chaurus: How do you revitalise yourself after a hard day?

"Just sitting down to relax usually," she replied with a small shrug. "Read a book, maybe work on the upkeep of my bow and arrows. Fishing helps if I’m able."

Wisp Mother: Do you try hard to please people?

"…not too hard," she said with a small laugh. "If I think it’d be worth my time to get on their good side? Aye. If not…" Arlain ended the sentence with a shrug.

Arlain is quiet for a moment before she shrugs.

"Suppose I… take more pride in being a Nord," she said quietly. "Hard to… when y’get teased so much y’just… I don’t want to talk about it."
