Do you think Armin is hiding what he saw in Bertolts memories from Eren? Eren asked him if he saw anything in Bert memories to which he replies ❝nothing that seemed useful❞ and he looks uncomfortable, as if there is something he doesn’t want to say.

I used to think so, but I’m beginning to believe there simply was nothing useful for real. Now it felt more like a way to showcase Eren’s and Armin’s different stances.

It looks like Armin started feeling uncomfortable around Eren, and, why not, maybe he even got a bit of awkwardness from Bertolt. We know that previous titan holders’ behavior can seep through the new shifter’s personality (Frieda acting banshee, Uri’s whole existence, Eren sitting like Kruger and Grisha and mixing pronouns, Grisha acting like Kruger (or the Attack Titan, who knows)...now I wonder if Zeke’s goofy moments aren’t influenced a bit by Xaver).

But yeah, I feel like Armin felt pressured by Eren’s bitter behavior, asking for and proposing solutions and Armin just acting undecisive or totally naive. Add to this the weight of having gotten a second chance at life plus memories from the “other side” and yet he wasn’t useful at all to their situation, so maybe mix to this also a big of guilt.

It doesn’t seem to me like he’s keeping any information secret, considering his behavior now, especially his recent understanding of Bertolt in chapter 128. It feels like even if he saw snippets of Bertolt’s life, he didn’t gain relevant insight on Bertolt as a person from this memory-sharing, so not even information.

Hey, I’ve got a question. Do you know if Armin was supposed to be the bad guy(not exactly in that sense) because I still won’t label Eren as the bad guy but Yams switched?

Not that I am aware of.

Isayama has used Armin to express some things that are relevant to Eren right now, but, post-time skip, Armin seems to have done a 180 on those same things, for no reason at all other than (it seems to me) Isayama backpedaling in regards to Armin’s cray-cray or more ruthless part of his personality.

I usually agree with you when you're slamming delusional shippers but Armin does seem to have a crush on Annie. If he didn't he wouldn't have reacted this hysterically to hitch's accusations of having less than innocent intent or say to eren when they were firing guns that he didn't see anything important and go meet annie behind his back. He must have seen bert's memory of her and whatever feelings he had for her were increased because he understood her situation

I don’t slam delusional shippers XD I simply state my interpretation of a scene that others interpret in romantic ways, but we usually come from the same place: we analyze an emotional moment/connection between characters.

It’s fine if you disagree this time. I don’t believe there are two people on earth who have the same opinions on literally everything.

I interpreted those scenes in a different way. I don’t see anything romantic in Armin being accused of molesting a girl and freaking out. If it was romantic I’d say Armin’s reaction is really childish. And I don’t see anything romantic in Armin trying to alleviate his guilt by speaking with someone who he thinks had to murder people because she was forced. Armin not even bothering to go see if Annie got out of the crystal speaks louder than any words, for me.
