I don’t understand the jikook vs taekook discourse? Why argue when taekookmin exists?

The complete erasure of indigenous ARMYs by this fandom is so fucking frustrating. No we are not a monolith and no not everyone is upset by the teepee issue, but for those of us who are, stop fucking using us against each other and gaslighting us. It’s not a “conical tent”, it’s not the same as tents used by indigenous Russians (which would still be the same issue?!), it’s teepees. There’s no if’s ands or buts about it.

We have had our land, our languages, and our families stolen from us. Every treaty we have ever had with the US govt has been broken. Let us keep and rebuild on the culture we have left without the rest of the fucking world taking it for fucking aesthetics. We are not here to be your goddamn spirit guides or your noble savage. So stop telling us to be so fucking honored all the time.

My anger and frustration is not at the boys, but it is definitely at BigHit and all of these shows who act like there’s no problem in using indigenous culture as a prop. Also just to head off any criticism, I am extremely aware that this is not an issue limited to BigHit and to BTSs stages. Trust me, we are all aware. I love BTS with my entire heart and that’s why this is important to me. If the continued use of Indigenous objects is due to ignorance, then I want BH to know that it’s not okay and that it hurts fans. If it’s due to capitalism and not caring, then BH needs to know that continued appropriation can hurt the boys image down the line and they are at a stage where they cannot afford that.

Gosh thank you for speaking up about the Corden issue, I was seriously wondering if I’d watched the same show than everyone else. The way people are projecting and trying to minimize or justify the hate he received is just disgusting to say the least. I’ve never been a huge fan of the guy but fans saying he was trying to play the sympathy card to avoid apologizing… excuse me, what?? Armys have blown the whole thing out of proportion wow, just wow. The quotes he got were countless of insults and derogatory terms after derogatory terms, d**th threats, telling him to k*ll himself, and we’re trying to minimize this and complain because he didn’t apologize?! As someone who was once bullied online (in another fandom) after people misinterpreted one of my tweets and made me look like I was the worst person on earth, I can only have compassion for him. I don’t care that he’s rich and famous, bullying is bullying, and what happened to him was extremely shocking. The boys seem to like him, they were clearly having fun filming the crosswalk part, some of them like JK seemed a bit nervous but it’s been a long time since they had this kind of interview abroad. The Papa Mochi/Baby Mochi thing has always been a bit cringe, it was staged the first time as well most likely, and JM clearly didn’t seem uncomfortable to me (he was clinging at Corden a few times during the crosswalk filming from what I saw, I mean come on stop projecting folks), just shy. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one feeling uncomfortable with how the show and the members reactions were grossly overanalyzed.

Yes exactly anon 👏🏼👏🏼 the way armys have been treating him is really gross, immature, concerning and more. And the fact that they think they’re allowed to act that way just because their feelings were hurt. and yes good LORD the amount of projecting. It reminds me once again that a big part of this online fandom went to sh*t.

Nobody can think for themselves and they jump at anyone they deem unworthy of being an army. They should be looking at themselves first cause I’m pretty sure ‘love yourself’ doesn’t stand for ‘bully others’.
