British mechanicals meet Italian bodywork by Bertone, saled and distributed in the United States – what a crunchy collaboration, even though it wasn't exceptionally fruitful: super rare Arnolt-MG Coupe, also known as Arnolt Continental Sportster (just 67 coupes plus 36 convertibles were built  between 1953 and 1954). Industrialist S. H. Wacky Arnolt, an eccentric American enthusiast who had a Chicago-based MG, Riley, and Morris distributorship, had originally struck a deal for 200 production versions, but MG phased out the TD chassis and engines in favor of their new TF.
