HEY GUYS I JUST FIGURED OUT A HUGE PART OF MY IDENTITY THAT HAS CONFUSED ME FOR SO LONG
I have recently stumbled across the term pseudo sexual (and I'm so glad I did 🙏🏻😌)
AND IT DESCRIBES ME SO WELL??????
okay, so for the longest time I felt so confused because I would get these "crushes" on people (mainly guys, which is why I identified as gay for so long)
And the "crush" would be a mix of a lot of things that didn't (used to) fit under one label.
I would blush/get nervous/want to get to know them more, but STRICTLY platonically!! (Which I know now)
I had no desire for a sexual/romantic relationship which confused me because I definitely liked their personality and wanted to touch/hold them (platonically) but would ALSO get a spike in libido if we touched or I thought about kissing/touching them (again, platonically)
I ALSO now know that I can feel a STRONG *sensual* attraction to people that MIMICS SEXUAL ATTRACTION!!!!!!
IM SO HAPPY THERES A WORD FOR THIS I FEEL SO SEEN!!!!
This also makes so much sense why when I thought I had a crush on this guy (and maybe did? Idk if that's the right word) I remember telling my mom "don't you ever see someone/like someone and you just have this strong desire to just hug/hold them?"
And she was like "no????"
And I was repeatedly told it was a crush/love but that didnt feel right!!
But getting butterflies/the libido spikes was so confusing because I didn't want to have sex with them 😭 nor did I like them romantically!
But when I googled it, all the answers online at the time said it *was* romantic/sexual and so I went on with my life thinking it was :')

Hey! So uh.... If you're wondering if you're asexual, I have some information that might help!
Apparently, being sexually attracted to someone means that it's the PERSON???? That turns you ON?????
