Hoje mais cedo alguns leitores haviam indagado sobre a diferença da Taioba (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) e da Colocasia gigantea. Ambas são conhecidas como orelha de elefante, assim como a Alocasia macrorriza, Colocasia esculenta, entre outras, que também são conhecidas pelo mesmo apelido. Fora a orelha de elefante suculenta que é linda também, mas que em nada parece com essas duas daqui.🐘 Nas imagens ressaltei a diferença primordial da folhas, sobretudo seus formatos. Enquanto a colocasia tem um formato de coração, a Taioba lembra um escudo. Em tempo, na foto das duas lado a lado, a Colocasia gigantea que está ali é um bebezinho já que quando adulta suas folhas podem chegar a 1 metro de tamanho. Finally I have got my first Rhaphidophora hayi from Goa only. I was so surprised with the price, they were selling it in very affordable price. I have paid ₹ 150 for each plant. I m trying a new method of growing them and till now I can't see any activity. It's stable and doing fine. My fingers r crossed, I hope it doesn't die on me. I have used same soil mix which I use for all my aroids. My new boyfriend 💞💓. All the time I m hanging out with it and my family is getting insecure 😂😂. . . Why is monstera very popular ? . . 🍀 Monstera is super popular coz of its beauty way of adoption. Yes I m talking about fenestration. Monsteras are native to tropical rainforests, where they grow from the forest floor in a semi-epiphytic way, vining up  trees and such to acquire more light. It is under scattered light sunflecks/understory conditions that the fenestrated leaf does pick up more sunlight than a whole leaf. And it helps this plant to grow faster and bigger. . . Moral of the story is if a plant can evolve in the process of survival why we humans can't. . .
