Okay so:
Benny loves doting on people, loves taking care of them, but when he does it’s never in pursuit of anything romantic, he just loves taking care of people.
Also I feel like he’s a naturally flirty person, but he never wants it to go anywhere. If anything happened he’d always gently turn them down. But back in his day I feel like getting married was kind of a must? Like, you were EXPECTED to get married and have kids. So he ends up marrying his best friend who kind of understands his situation, and she never forces him to do anything in private.
Again Benny’s a super affectionate person, and I feel like he wouldn’t mind hand holding or even the occasional kiss, but nothing over the top. To him those gestures are just signs of caring about a person and showing you like their company.
He’d love the term “partner” but not boyfriend or husband.
