really want to reread the Young Wizards series but after checking some summaries I at least know now that I’ll have to knock off at book 8, because godfuckingdamnit Nita and Kit were one of the only relationships that represented the kind of QPR-esque partnership I desperately wanted even as a kid, and finding out they just go the boyfriend/girlfriend route in the end is... something I feel kind of dumb for feeling so sad about, but fuck. Guess I was right to quit reading the books when I was younger and scared they were gonna have them start dating eventually.

realized another reason I’m skeeved out by the ‘insertgender loving insertgender’ format that’s been going around (seriously, it’s EVERYWHERE now) is not only that it’s weird and exclusionary feeling if you’re at all nb or bi, it specifies ‘love’ as the attraction so it’s explicitly ruling out aro people as well

i just. would not mind so much if it wasn’t so BIG, but now it seems like every positivity post and ‘protect __’ and resource blog and etc that goes over my dash is for one of them. (or one of the other terms exclusive to alloromantic gay people that have been cropping up). just. whhhyy

the only thing I remember about the Emma movie is that at one point she’s like ‘so this guy left, and I’ve had indigestion for a couple nights since he left... Conclusion: I’m in love with him. I will proceed accordingly’ because that was the biggest aro-without-knowing mood ever

(the only other thing i remember is being intensely disappointed when she winds up in a relationship eventually)
