Ok
Thank you all and the experience of copy pasting these was just as annoying as I feared.
oh my goshhhhh your paper thingamajiggys are so cool! another New Zealander here and i'd like to try that papercraft art so i was curious as to what brand of paper you use? i noticed it was textured and it looks cool! :)
Haha, thanks!
I use a bunch of different brands- I just went down to Paper Tree (which I'm not sure is a thing outside of Christchurch) and went crazy buying a huge pile of scrapbooking paper. It resulted in the longest receipt I've ever seen. XD Spotlight has a pretty good range too, from what I've seen. Just be careful because the really pretty patterned ones are fairly expensive ($3 for a 30x30cm sheet, which adds up really fast) and end up being kind of hard to use without distracting from the overall design.
The best bargain I've found so far is a 60 sheet pad of cardstock in a bunch of different colours (2 sheets of each) at Kmart- it was $30 but I've found i'm using it more than my stack of specialised scrapbooking paper so it was well worth it. They also have really cheap cutting boards there, which would have been nice to know before i bought mine, oops. The warehouse is also pretty handy because they have good packs of colour themed scrapbooking paper, which include paper you'd be hard pressed to find on it's own and are super helpful when you want a bunch of different shades of the same colour.
Also, a quick word of advice- unless you want to sink $100+ into it from the start like I did (only because it was for my education ;___; ) then plan out what you're going to need colour wise first. Papercraft is kinda expensive to get started with.
Good luck! :)
