Types of Mandalorian fans
That guy, Outer Rim Hick:
Wow! That’s the fried chicken guy from Breaking Bad! He’s in spaaaace!
Casual Star Wars Fan, Tatooine Moisture Farmer:
OOH! Is that a new star destroyer? Me like!
More Aware Star Wars fan, Naboo Hippie:
Wow, isn’t that a light cruiser from Clone Wars and Rebels? It looks really good!
Refined Star Wars Fan, Correlian Independant Operator:
Actually, that’s an Arquitens Class Imperial Command Cruiser. Look it up, why don’t you?
Proper Star Wars Nerd, Imperial Security Bureau Analyst:
That’s not quite an Arquitens. It’s got extra engines and what appears to be proper hangers capable of servicing star fighters. Must be a new ship, or a variant.
In depth Star Wars Nerd, Thrawn:
In Chapter 12, when Moff Gideon is standing next to the dark troopers, you get a good look at their height. Giancarlo Esposito is 5’8”. I added an inch to that since his boots have heels. Based on that, the Dark Troopers are 83.6 inches, or 6’11.6” tall. I used the shot of them exiting the port hangar to approximate the size of the underbelly, being ~19.5 meters tall. Since the ship has the same silhouette of the Arquitens I, that would mean the cruiser is approximately 462 meters long.
Surreal Doylist Meta Guru, Bendu:
The new Imperial cruiser looks good. While ILM have used some excellent CGI, I have to say that I love how they use miniatures to make their ships look good. The Razor Crest was a miniature. And though they used CGI, blending with the minitaure gives us some spectacular shots! See how none of the lines are exactly straight? Like the ISD in rogue one, if you pay attention, the modellers have given a lot of attention to detail and this make it look a lot more realistic! And see this part which is lifted just a bit because of the thin layer glue under it? This is not a CGI model, no I think that just like the Razor Crest someone lovingly crafted this miniature which is why the ship looks so good. I think we are returning to the golden age of Miniatures!
Me, Padawan seeing Anakin after Order 66:
But why is there so much time between seasons though?!

Arquitens class Light Cruiser
Description
Developed initially for service with the Galactic republic the Arquitens class light cruiser was a versatile vessel which later served with the Galactic empire, and spawned a number of related designs which saw further use in the imperial navy, and imperial remnant forces following the battle of Endor.
Initially the ship was developed to fill the roles of escort for larger capital ships as part of a battlegroup, and in more isolated regions as an independent warship capable of operating on its own for extended periods.
Following the declaration of the new order the new Imperial navy made extensive use of the Arquitens. Employing them primarily as patrol ships in quiet under populated sectors. However the ships cramped layout, lack of fighter carrying capacity, and light armament eventually saw the class phased out. With a planned replacement eventually entering service as the 546 class cruiser, a larger ship which heavily resembled an enlarged Arquitens. Surviving ships of the class remained in service for decades. Though the class was considered long past its prime by 10 BBY.
