OMG OKOKOKOKOKOKOKKOKOKOKOKOK

so i've seen many ppl reduce nagisa to comedic relief/headcanon that nagisa is kinky!!!

nagisa is an absolute sweetheart, he convinces haru and makoto to restart the swim club bc he just wants to have smth in common with his closest friends again. he fucking tries so hard to teach rei how to swim, he encourages him for MONTHS and then when they're in the ocean nagisa swims after him to save him and he does it's not shown in the show but it's actually heavily implied when you think about it - rei is last shown losing consciousness when he spots makoto. next thing he know he is completely fine and nagisa is handing him his board.

so after saving someone's life nagisa then encourages his entire team to not only make up with rin, but to push through towards the regionals. 

and then season 2 comes. nagisa is so so devastated by the idea that rei might leave the team. when no one has the courage to directly address the issue, nagisa does. and rei stays and nagisa is sos o proud of his swimmming i mean omg i cant

ES5 comes and nagisa runs away from home becayse swimming with his friends is so fucking important to him in mean he would rather not live at home with his parents than not swim with his teammates again1!!

and the rest of the season nagisa is so broken up by the thought of haru and makoto leaving he shuts is out completely becaue he loves them so fucking much i can't?????????
