913. Arrowaine. Wychwood (Marston’s). 18/05/19.
Not on the official list.
A bottle from a mixed box of Wychwood beers I received as a birthday gift. Drunk at a garden gathering.
They say: This dark beer is a nod to the archer of yesteryear. The rich and full-roasted toffee malt delivers a lingering flavour that is straight & true… and really hits the spot
I say: An unexpected treat. Poured very dark, almost black with a moderate head. A sniff of malts on the nose and the taste was similar too. A hint of molasses, but essentially warm, malty and rich, but at only 3.6%. Not marketed as a mild, but that is ertainly where I would class it.
