Photography Notes of Lake Superior and the Minnesota North Shore by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While at an overlook along the North Shore Scenic Drive (Minnesota), the view extends southward. The setting includes a perspective across a portion of the Northern Minnesota Ranges that maps depict as Mount Josephine, Arrowhead Overlook, and Hat Point. To the left of the image are the waters of Wayswaugoing Bay and Lake Superior. In composing this image, I took advantage of the terrain features that created a sweeping view that led a viewer into the image. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation in DxO PhotoLab 9. I then exported a TIFF image to Nik Color Efex Pro 7 where I added a Polarization, Foliage, and Pro Contrast filter for that last effect on the image captured.
