Hey everyone, so I've finally started writing the fanfic that's been bouncing around in my head and documents for a couple months now. It's a bs spamtenna fic. How original, I know. But hey, what I can promise right now is that if everything goes according to plan...

Hey guys remember how I said the next chapter would come out by the end of the week? Well I actually meant this week. Mhm...

Ok the chapter turned out to be a bit longer than expected and with the end of winter break I unfortunately have way less time to work on it. What I mean to say is:

Bad news: the update schedule will probably be about 14 days if not more at this point in time. I would like to set clear deadlines but with the fact that I do not know how long the chapters will actually be when written down it is very hard to do so right now and I would hate to upload my work prematurely just to meet some imaginary deadline. So I'll much rather take my time and have fun with each addition and upload it when I feel like it's ready to be served to y'all

Now for the good news...

The next chapter comes out tomorrow! :D

i do wonder if the re devs really wanted to remake re3 at all honestly because compared to the other remakes, its not as polished and has a lot of cut content. honestly up to the hospital segment had good pacing, but once we get jill back afterwards it feels like everything Happens All At Once, and the last third of the game or so feels rushed with a significant difficulty spike.

looking at the release timeline, i think it suffered from being released smack dab between re2 remake (2019) and re8 (2021), as well as the pandemic putting a halt to everything. it's honestly kinda sad because i do think there's a lot of potential with re3 remake, it just falls short.

#arry yaps #<- new tag for when i have opinions #honestly i think it would have been better to focus on re8 at the time and put more focus on re3r afterwards #it probably would have meant that re4r and re9 would also have been pushed back but i dont think its so much of a bad thing #4r is super polished compared to village imo. that might also have been a factor if they started working on that #at about the same time #was watching a video on the mercenaries and learned about the original minigame in re3og #which was left out of the remake #i dont think there are any minigames in the remake of re3 actually???

And I'm making great progress at planning out the fic!

Right now I'm done with planning out the first two arcs and I've started on planning out the last arc. If everything goes according to plan the fic should be all prepared for actual writing by the end of the week. (And if everything goes well the first actual chapter should come out this weekend!)
