ARSHIA KHAN presented a visual journey through the ages, fusing the 80s with the bohemian chic style using the finest fabrics. This collection showed contemporary cuts, swarovski studded belts, innovative kaftans and elegant designs.

Dubai Fashion Week Fall / Winter

Dubai Fashion Week, for this season saw Dubai's up and coming talent, along with already established designers, show their works.

Abya's and stunning dresses from designers such as Arshia Khan's label "Arshy's" were showcased to Dubai's fashion elite, and buyers.

Obviously my taste in fashion doesn't run too main stream (punk shirts with nerd glasses) so when I saw Nasrine Dechahe collection "Montaigne" I died and went to hipster heaven...

Her deigns incorporated Power Shoulders (think shoulder pads) along with tights, sequences and nerd glasses, I was in hipster heaven. You can purchase her shirts for around 300dhms on line.

while attending DFW I was lucky enough to wear, a creation by designer Wafa Saifi! I felt like a glamourous little red ridding hood.

After interviewing the fashion elite and designers, the tally has been collected at the next new trend for this coming season is.... Power Shoulders and Shoulder detailing. So get your 80's jackets out of retirement, and get ready to sing some Cindy Lauper into your hair brush.
