Though I am aware about the name origins of Azrael and his brother Soroushi, it's satisfying to see it being spelled out here for once. By Isfan, nonetheless. I have been working on an appreciation post for the falcons at one point, maybe I'll get back to that...

I just want to point out here that 'angel of death' is meant in the kindest way possible. He's not a figure to be feared.

Azrael translates to "whom God helps". He's often depicted as a benevolent guide for the souls transition to the afterworld.

So y'all remember the existence of an Isfān-centric one-shot I was working on, that grew a mind of its own and I got like 2k words on the first segment alone which isn't even the idea I had, just the set-up for it?

I think I'll just publish that segment alone? I don't think I'm capable of finishing it in the near future, and letting what I did write sit in the dark would be a shame I think, because I am quite proud of how it turned out!
