I was wondering - was that line from Estelle thinking to herself "So this is Queen Tahamenay..." when she sees her for the first time taken from the original novels, or was that an addition that Arakawa made? I knew about the theory going around that Estelle may be Tahamenay's lost daughter, but the fact that she doesn't resemble either Andragoras or Tahamenay in appearance made me dismiss it. Still, the latest chapter had me thinking of this theory again. I'm still not convinced, but I think that it would be interesting if Arakawa felt the need to sneak in this line from Estelle that really serves no purpose other than to provide a small connection to her and Tahamenay.

Here's the moment you referenced from Chapter 124.

I went to check the relevant scene from the novels, and no specific mention of Estelle is made (although she is part of the group accompanying Arslan). Here's a Google Translated version of that passage:

'“Don’t stop him, Lord Kishward. The prince wants to see me, and I have something to say to him as well.” Kishward jumped slightly, recognizing the voice. The person who had appeared was Queen Tahamenay. Covered with a veil that concealed her face, she stood in the entrance of the tent. Young Tus quickly stepped aside to let her pass, while everyone knelt, except for Kishward, who took a little longer to do so. Kishward looked with a slightly ironic expression at the queen, whose face was hidden behind the veil. Without saying a word, she made her desire clear. Kishward raised his hand to order everyone to withdraw. Arslan’s followers left the tent, leaving only Queen Tahamenay and Prince Arslan.'

First something kinda funny; in this novel scene Kishward hesitates to kneel, yet in the manga it's Gieve who remains standing for longer, thus expressing his disdain for Tahamenay and her treatment of Arslan.

But to return to your question of whether or not this scene could be a little hint from Arakawa at a link between Estelle and Tahamenay, I thought it notable that Tanaka twice described Tahamenay's face as being hidden by a veil in this scene whereas in Arakawa's version, her face isn't fully covered. Her hood does partially obscure her face so from the side view that Estelle has I can't say whether she saw her in full, but that moment definitely drew attention to her regarding Tahamenay for the first time, and that was original to the manga.

And on a second look at this chapter, these two panels also caught my eye:

Arslan says "Mother..." and the panel beside it focuses on Estelle.

Given that we're then hit with the 'not my child' revelation, it would be mightily ironic if Tahamenay's real child was actually in the room right then, and they just didn't know it at the time.

Мелкий бес спёр ленту Исфана (мне нужнее, клянусь рогами предков! (а златоглазому блондину без ленты даже лучше!)), но Арслан негодует и требует вернуть ленту. По-хорошему. Пока его Величество не разгневалось и не потянулось за мечом, дабы покарать наглеца.

Без ленты Исфан, конечно, куда привлекательнее... Но! Но Арслан - воистину мудрый правитель и быстро понял, что лучше привлекать чужое внимание в более безопасном месте (в его дворце, например), а не в локации с подозрительными аборигенами.

Исфан впечатлился, пожалуй, даже сильнее, чем бесенок XD
