Greetings, Denka’s Army!
September marks the passing of summer and our Highness Prince Arslan’s birthday! Said to be on September 21st, we start our celebrations on this day and party on for the whole week. In a time of turmoil, we would like this event to be themed around “encounters”.
For this event we wanted to keep it as open as possible as the new academic year has just started and participants may not find the time to commit to a certain prompt. However, as a little help, here are some prompts that would fit well into our “encounters” theme:
Exchange (trade, cultural,…)
Confrontation, misunderstandings
Peace, meetings
Languages, communication, and interaction
Discovery (secrets, places, self…)
Experiences (fear, the past,…)
Fandom crossovers
Love at first sight, “long time no see”
The tag is: #Arslansenkifandomday2017
Please have a look at our information pages to find out more on how to participate: About | Rules & Guidelines
And do not hesitate to drop us an ask, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
YASHASUI~IN!
So I’m not sure if this counts but I did some (late) nail art for Arslan’s birthday

Arslan Senki fandom day 2017: Encounters
~a drabble for Chapter 36~ (apart from a guy being shot by an arrow, nothing really happens)
Characters/Pairing: Daryun & Narsus
“Let’s meet back at Ecbatana“ - these had been his last words to his uncle Vahriz. Confident in his own and his uncle’s ability to survive that day, as they had many days and battlefields before.
The former Marzban had always used this phrase with his men before a battle. Well acquainted with their strengths and weaknesses, he trusted them to fight to the best of their abilities and make it through. Some men would of course fall, but as a commander, Daryun was always determined to keep the number of deaths as low as possible by carefully planning ahead.
Five years ago a young nobleman from Daylam had replaced Lord Teos’ seat at court. Brash though he seemed, Daryun found him to be an excellent strategist, a kindred spirit at court, and a good friend.
And now Daryun was looking for Narsus.
He was relieved his Highness Arslan, Elam, Lady Farangis, and even the suspicious looking “minstrel” Gieve were safe. But Zandeh’s men were still around on the look-out for them.
Once again, these had been his lasts words before they parted ways. A part from Narsus, everyone was now accounted for.
Just up ahead Daryun hears raised voices in Parsian: “It’s Narsus!” “We found him!”. He beckons Elam to follow him, as they ride towards the calls as fast as they can. Narsus is a skilled swordsman, but he could be weary from travel, outnumbered, or another opponent such as Zandeh may be amongst the enemy. Daryun resolves to come to his aid under all circumstances; Those were not going to be his last words to him.
Daryun draws his bow and releases it almost instantly after a brief aim. The arrow hits its target. He made it in time.
Barely.
for @arslansenkifandomweek with “encounter” theme - 2v1 narsus & daryun vs hirmiz hilmes hermes silvermask.

Songs of a Beauty
Title: Songs of a Beauty Author: A Chinaweeb (my friend) Characters/Pairings: Tahameney, Andragoras III, Osroes V Rating: T Warnings: There will be blood (in later chapters) Summary: The tale of the path of ashes left behind by the mirror image of Ashi A/N: I came across a poem in the film House of the Flying Daggers (highly recommend watching because it's awesome) which naturally reminded me of dear Tahameney. So I wrote Tahameney's life while loosely using the poem as guideline. I know my writing is awful but have fun anyway
Prologue on AO3
The bells rung in the high city, bordering the Parsian empire. In the castle, far above the mist of the lower city, a child was born. Her mother had called the seers whom upon their arrival delivered a prophecy which worried the local lords. It told of beauty so unparalleled that it would influence all in the known world. Upon the birth and announcement of the child, priests and priestesses from far and wide were called in to bring offerings to any god that would hear them, that they might show mercy on the people surrounding this child.
