Love Your Self originated in 2014 post graduation. At the time I was working in corporate fashion. I was scared. I was so scared that I’d never achieve all the unspoken goals and dreams Of mine. It was an intense time. Being young and fresh out of college makes it easy for your dreams to be the back burner and your talents get exploited to benefit a corporate mission. Nothing I did at work meant as much to me as the individuals working to make a company alive that make products we can’t even afford off our pay. The people always meant more to me. My co workers happiness mattered so much to me. I met Jessica and Kenyetta and so many other wonderful people from work but I wanted more than anything to see us thrive on our passions for us. Not for a gentrifying corporation. I wanted more so I gave myself more. I am self employed. That means I do this on my own. I saw a trend in every ones mood. We are not confident in ourselves. We are riddled with anxiety, worry, doubt, uncertainty, depression, a whole plethora of negativity, based on outside opinions and judgement. Fuck that. I love myself so much I can’t live my life for another moment pushing a self deprecating life style. We deserve to be happy and healthy in our own way. Love Your Self is all about self acceptance, self love, self respect, self appreciation. Love Your Self is about accepting all individuals as a whole. We need one another. It is about taking care of yourself and others because we all deserve love. I have a lot of exiting new projects to share with the world.
