What a botched job, Viper thought to himself as he ran frantically towards the stairs, flames licking at his heels. It was meant to be simple enough. Torch a building to help some guy send a message. Sure, the Junker didn’t know what kind of message that WAS, but it wasn’t in the job description to ASK. What he hadn’t counted on was the asshole remotely locking the doors. A no-witnesses sort of thing? Viper snorted, having to quietly admire that kind of cunning. He’d remember this little trick when he got out and choked the guy with his own tie!

A coughing noise distracted him, his head snapping towards one of the offices. The door was closed, but he know he hadn’t been hearing things. Wasn’t this place meant to be EMPTY? He wanted to just run off, forget that noise and get to the roof, but something sounded familiar enough about it that he ran over. A hand darted out for the knob and instantly regretted it as the heated metal singed his hand. Cursing his own failed memory, he wrapped his hand up in his own vest and pried the door open, eyes widening when he saw a certain brown-haired heiress.

“Star...!” He said with some form of mild surprise, glancing around out of habit before helping her to her feet. She must have inhaled a bit of smoke, and was coughing and uneasy on her feet. Message to send....did it have something to do with HER? Possibly. Did that mean he’d been hired by her...

Didn’t matter now. Thoughts snapped back to the situation at hand, the Junker tossing her over his shoulder and heading quickly for the stairs, hissing as a chunk of the roof fell right beside him.

“What....what are you-?!” Star started to protest, but a quick jostle interrupted her. Viper snickered to himself, practically bounding up the stairs....and quickly finding himself disappointed. The stairs were blocked by more rubble, and the heat was starting to make HIM sweat. He couldn’t imagine how Miss Canada felt. Had to think fast, had to think fast.....

“...oi, Star!” Viper called out as he ran back down the stairs into the office area, darting around for the sign of something reflecting o the walls. “Ya ain’t afraid o’ heights are ya?” 

“What kind of question is THAT? ....Viper.....what the hell are you plannin-You’re not jumping out a window, are you?!” The only response she got was a faint giggle, which only made her make a sound of protest. Still, what was worse....falling to their deaths or burning alive? That was HER thought process. Meanwhile, he was fiddling with his worn out duffle bag, yanking out his crossbow as he ran over to a window.

“I don’t plan on dyin’ right now...not when someone owes a debt ta me!”

Here's the summary:

A young arsonphobic man gets into a car crash, which results in him being engulfed by flames. However, he is left with minor injuries when he should have been burned to the third degree... He also realizes fire comes out of his hands and arms at any time. No one believes him though. Except for the government... and maybe a few others.
