It's december again. And Nikki's Birthday. So there's no better day to start on my now annual drawing of Nikki in the Star Sea dress that I started doing in 2023. Right now all I have is this concept I did in pen when thinking about how to pose her this year

As in previous years I based it on the trailer from Shining Nikki. And then again with Shining Nikki last year using the poses from Void Stardust's reflection and promo as the inspo.

Since this year we got the set in Infinity Nikki as well with the new variants ( even if that update was kinda bad imo) I wanted the inspo to be somewhat from the newest iteration of the set. This time the plan is to be referencing the other Nikki's using the idea of shards of mirrors or design fragments.

not to jinx my actually being kinda art-motivated for the first time in ages BUT i am sketching out babby vanessa & syrene design ideas, and tbh even if they don’t reach a postable stage i’m still like :) @ finding some will to draw again bc it’s been a thousand years

My niece is challenging me not only does she want me to do a few more Steven Universe she also wants me to try anime. She wants me to do my version of Fruit Basket? (Runs to google) This little girl has me all the way outside of my box and comfort zone but I love a challenge.

*she also made me make Garnets hair symmetrical because she is super literal.

I have to make an illustration for a tarot card, and I’ve finally ended up with a sketch/composition I’m satisfied with ! Also I’m using Symbolism TM which is pretty fun, I’ve never really done that before.

Also with drawing in general I feel like rendering is just the worst part. Hence why a lot of my stuff is flats with detailed linework. Cuz I'd rather do complicated lines than render 90% of the time

Drawing some characters is wild. Like whenever I draw myrnin without his glasses it feels like something is missing
