More collaborations in the Sacred Love/Sacred Lives series, this time from 2024.
I only managed two collabs last year. Both were great to work on and I am grateful to the artists for sharing their designs with me.

So I tried doing a little collab work with a budding artist...
This was her drawing :)
And my crochet plush version!!
I wasn't sure if I wanted to make more because this fella is small, and the details on it can kill for something small 😅
But now, one person has ordered this plushie and I managed to push for including the original design's keychain too! I love a bundle :)
Plot twist...
Unfortunately it seems this artist does not want to continue with this collab thing with me.. i.e. she went and bought wholesale some crochet flowers, rather than seek me out to make them for her 💔☹️... She says her art merch moves very slow. (Well I could help like how I did her keychain??)
She's only drawn this one original art and so says she wants to practice more on her drawing... She dabbled in resin for a bit too..and has stopped it for almost a week too :/ uhh.. ok.
Sigh...
I like the idea of artists of different mediums coming together to create something unique.
So if there's an embroider artist out there who's willing to turn my crochet eggs into beautifully decorated easter eggs, please reach out to me 😭 or I'll just find some time and patience to do my own embroidering... 😒

It’s still going strong, and we’re so excited to share this project with you! Each card of the Major AND Minor Arcana were carefully illustrated, keeping the integrity, the spirit, and the expression of each card in mind.

I managed to find someone local to help try out embroidery on my crochet eggs. 😍
I have a question for embroidery artists (below).
It's a testing artist collaboration. The little pink egg (below) was her tester, while the bigger white egg was her planned stitching. I do love that rose! ❤️
While I admire the beautiful outcome, it has raised the question of difficulty.
These were already stuffed when I sent them to her to try. They were a slight challenge to her as this being her first time doing embroidery on a plush, and she mostly sews bags and purses with simple/similar embroidered flowers.
I have very VERY little knowledge (and experience) with embroidery so I'd like to ask:
Is it better to embroider FIRST before stuffing?
Because, like this girl raised to me, the stitching she knows is when you poke your needle out the other side of the fabric 😂
In my crocheting, I stuff first before I stitch anything on e.g. mouth, cheeks, strawberry seeds. I just poke my needle out at a different angle, that's all 😅 I tend NOT to sew before stuffing because if in case I stitch something too tight, it won't be all funky and warped out of shape when I stuff it later (that's my biggest concern). So I find it easier to stitch when plushie is already fully stuffed - then I can control my sewing tension.
My mum did demonstrate to me a lazy daisy stitch on my already stuffed donut plushie hence I get the impression that embroidery IS possible on already stuffed items.
So...is it then just...more difficult? Or is it a matter of preference, and/or experience?
For reference: My main needlework is cross-stitch.
Can someone advise? Thank you in advance!
