POV: you're an art conservator, checking through the microscope which part of the painting are original and which were added later

See how the craquelure (small cracks in the paint which is part of the natural aging process) have clean sharpe edges in the purpelish paint while the green paint is filling and piling up in those cracks? That's a pretty obvious indicator that the green paint was added many years after the purple paint.

I've been really quiet on this blog (except for some qued reblogs) because it's full on uni application madness over here. I want to apply to at least 2 but ideally 5 different unis and need to prepare the following

A portfolio with 15 drawings and paintings

A portfolio with 10 drawings and paintings

Digitalizing my portfolios

A 10-15 page internship report

About 20 pages of documentation about different objects I've worked on during my internship

Typical cover letter, cv, etc

Relearn basic chemistry because it's been A WhileTM since I've taken chemistry classes in school

Learn as much art history as possible

Oh and did I mention I need to do all this on top of working full time at my internship and already doing most of the work I'm apply to uni to learn???

Honestly, at this point I feel like it would've been easier for me to get into med school because at least there my grade average counts something whereas for art conservation I basically need to be a conservator and art historian already to even pass the entrance exam
