Freya’s Tears
Virginia Woolf, from The Waves
Hellenistic burial necklace with butterfly pendant, symbolizing the soul. Gold, amethyst, chalcedony, emerald, rock crystal, pearl, and colored glass Late 1st-2nd century BC
It was found in 1891 in a tomb near (Pontic) Olbia, an important Greek colony on the Black Sea coast of modern Ukraine (west of the Chersonese). The piece dates to the Hellenistic period, 2nd-1st century BC (i.e., ca. 200-101 BC).
When you pick up a conservator from the selves and you turn it around:
you forgot the best one
I'd say wow, they didn't even wait for the bodies to cool, but actually I guess the North Atlantic took care of that pretty quickly.
An Egyptian rock crystal of a chonky hinpopotamus amulet
(Middle Kingdom, ca. 2050-1650 BCE)
Amulets were worn by ancient Egyptians for their protective and regenative properties. Used in both in daily life and during funerary rites, amulets represented animals, deities, symbols or objects thought to possess the magical powers of warding off evil spirits.
As animals were popular representations, the hippopotamus was known for its apotropaic (e.g. ability to avert bad luck) qualities and was associated with rebirth.
By the way one direction inspired an entire generation of young teens to become artists, readers, writers, musicians, animators. 14 year olds were hacking into security cameras. Do you genuinely understand how hard that is? I literally have a tech degree and i still view hacking as too complicated. 14 year olds were in literal stem to watch one direction buy a bottle of shampoo. They have genuinely altered the courses of so many people's lives in terms of careers and long term hobbies. It was never just the music. I literally started reading by reading fanfiction. I am now a very active reader of many genres. I got a fucking tech degree because i wanted to see how it was done. Like its so unbelievably crazy. And they were massively bullied by the media and the rest of the world. They were ridiculed by the music industry. They were the biggest boyband on the planet and the only one that went as global as they did and they had them parody their own song 3 seperate times. They were never nominated for grammys as a group. They were genuinely never taken seriously and they changed the courses of young womens lives.
Everyone in the replies and reblogs agreeing and proving my point makes me so warm. This is a sisterhood. This is girlhood. This is love. This is 5 boys who fought against the narrative very boldly in interviews and consistently stood up for their young female audience. Not once were we not thanked at award shows, not once did they allow us to be ridiculed by misogyny in interviewers questions. Time and time again they shut down that shit. This is countless women across the ENTIRE world that will forever remain bonded and connected by one central thing, their love for 5 boys. Countless women seeing it in lifelong dreams, in their hobbies, in their passion projects, in their careers. When they have a bad interaction and regress to a sad lonely 13 year old for a day who's listening to one direction on repeat.
Know this: there are countless women who feel the exact same way. We all have different stories and different skills gained, different cultures, different reasons for using the band as our sanctuary, but strip us down, and we are all the same.
This will forever remain a sisterhood. If you'd like to talk about literally anything, one direction or otherwise, please know you can always reach out to me. Even if we've never spoken. Love you all and hope you're doing okay.

Happy Mother's day
So I did a thing...
This is because I watch this guy.
He made merch and I just had to do the drake meme. Take a look at his amazing work if you get the chance. This is one of the longer vids but he dose have shorter ones. He also has just the sound of him working on a project or him talking walking through the shown steps of a project.
