- no, bigger
- fingers are longer than you think
- no, longer
- congrats you ruined a perfectly good hand
- go to your room and think about what you've done

ARGH! Maybe I was happier before I looked up how to pronounce “van Gogh” correctly because it’s torture watching a documentary about him. Couldn’t they maybe get together on how to pronounce his name? Because they have eleventy-thousand experts and four different pronunciations, and maybe two people have said it right because they were, in fact, Dutch.
They could have at least told the narrator, who is firmly and with great determination calling him van Goff.
*wrings hands*
and yes that IS because I've been told these things after painting, that painting female figures not "conventionally" attractive or "feminine" enough means I need to "practice my anatomy", that painting male figures not "conventionally" attractive or "masculine" enough means I either am making a statement about men who've wronged me or that I have a "fetish", that choices I made stylistically "don't make the figure look good" so I need to alter the color/composition/features of the figure
so basically,
1 fuck art school, fuck art teachers, fuck art students, this IS why I moved into abstract surreal stuff for my portfolio, even though I love the paintings themselves it's not what I set out to do
2 fuck people who don't/haven't studied art, because now i know that's how the general public views this stuff anyway, so what's the use
3 i'm a giant fucking coward because now i do all the editing for them, although truth be told it's been months since i've finished even a small watercolor painting because i'm too shitty to commit to either painting what i want or painting what i think someone else would want
4 i'm a fucking baby because i want people to like and look at and think about the things i made, and get useless and depressed and unproductive when i think people don't or won't
