i've had a few instances of having very little time in wonderfully large art museums.
my grandparents used to live in alexandria, va, i had summer access to the smithsonian. i could spent 3 full, 24 hour days in the smithsonian art museums and not fully experience it. when i was a freshman in high school, my band took a trip there, and they had given us THREE HOURS to experience ALL of the smithsonian museums on the mall. that's 7 museums. Simply not enough time. one of my friends ran off to the gift shop before seeing any of the art and i found myself aimlessly walking with a friend, stumbling through a room of degas. that was the day i started really loving degas
one time, in 2017, i was with a group of women and we were almost running through the streets of new york. we were planning on going to the moma, but we were running a little late, and the museum was going to close soon. additionally i had made the terrible mistake of not changing my clothes from a business breakfast, and my thighs were chafing together and my feet hurt from heels I'd been wearing for 7 consecutive hours and a walk around the nypl but i desperately wanted to see the moma, so i was booking it as much as my not-so-small ass could.
when we arrived, i made my way to my end goal, starry night. there was a large crowd around it, but i still saw, what was at the time, my favorite painting. there was a sticky poster of it on my bedroom wall. once i saw it, i walked around a little, found a room full of picasso, sure, whatever.
then i stumbled into persistence of memory by dali, frida kahlo's self portrait, and fucking the lovers by rene magritte, which is one of my favorite paintings. every where i turned i saw another painting from an artist i studied or appreciated. christina's world was on a side wall, almost an afterthought.
i don't know, i remember those two trips more than i remember spending hours and hours in one. and maybe i just think this because i'm from the midwest and we don't have a lot of famous art here, and maybe some people are used to being surrounded by beautiful art, but i really hold those memories fondly. to me, there was something crazy in staring at a photo on a computer, loving it, researching it, thinking about it, and then seeing it in person.

No! I wasn't living under a rock! I knew that this game existed for a while now. I was so mesmerised by the art....❤️❤️
My fav character? The white haired Taira guy. He has the same voice actor as Yoritomo (Ikegen) in my most fav game of all time, Jun Fukuyama. I forgot this character's name but I remember reading a review about this game, where the writer nicknamed him as Tomohorny. So he's Tomohorny for now!!🤭🤭
While I am a super pairing whore, even I have come across pairings I do not agree with or even really like... But I can admit that those pairings have some talented fans because wow some of the art and shit I've seen for them is unfairly cute or beautiful or just so close to making me wish i could ship them lol
so i just finished episode seven of kamigami no asobi
