It’s come to my attention that the Poppy Playtime fandom has a huge art stealing problem. There are writing blogs that are stealing people’s art and posting their headcanons/writing under them.

I’m here to tell you that you need to always, ALWAYS ask permission from an artist to use their work.

It’s very rude to use art that isn’t yours without permission. It doesn’t matter if you have a disclaimer that the art isn’t yours or if you have a post telling artists to politely ask for their art not to be on your post. It’s YOUR responsibility to ask for permission first and to respect their answer. It’s not the artist’s job to hunt you down and ask you nicely to stop.

If you steal art, post, fanfic, ect. from people you fucking suck. I do not give two shits if they are an anti, stop fucking stealing shit. Come up with something yourself or get out.

Hey! My mom got me this murder drones pillow from my birthday! I love it but it’s possible the art was stolen and sold in redbubble and other websites… (small fan artists don’t usually make such big pillows)

She was very out of touch about this issue and I told her not to do it again but I wanted to ask if your the artist or you know the artist who made this drawing, let me know so I can support you :3 (and this art is gorgeous btw)

AND it’s very helpful to share this around even if you don’t know the artist so more ppl will see and we’ll have a bigger chance in finding them! So please consider doing that

I know I should have posted the comic on YouTube myself first and watermarked my art, but (I know that's a bad exuse) I couldn't come up with the watermark I would like, and now it's too late. But this dude didn't have to stole my art in the fist place!

I've checked all the dms and comments and no, they didn't ask my permission to do this and neither tagged me in their YouTube short. I already wrote a comment under that video asking to credit me and I hope they will. I could just wait till this person's response but I'm posting this because I just want to post about the situation to remind people THAT STEALING ART IS NOT OKAY.

❗️I don't want anyone to hate this person or threaten them, that is no better than stealing art, but you can share this video so other art thieves would now that people are not okay with their actions.
