Spider with a Top Hat is a spell she learned that is powerful, but perhaps she never really tried it in real life, so he doesn't know what exactly does it do, but she imagines it to need a lot of practice (so he does practice). But when the spell is used, what happens is a result of Star imagining right there and when how it might work - and so it does. Narval x Butterfly baby is likely an idea of a new spell which uses consepts of both, but it's just an idea yet, so it's only a child yet.(2/2)

Inner dimension of the wand is fueled by Star's imagination. It exists, but as a background process, and only because Star believes in it. Star uses named spells, but in Storm the Castle / My New Wand we've seen that spells are not necessary like that. So personalities and activities of the spells within the wand are how Star imagines them to be. Narval Blast is very natural to her so it's just a warrior instinct. Warnicorns are somewhat more difficult and need training, so they work out. (1/2)
