Have you ever painted intuitively, freeing yourself of expectations and techniques and completely trusting in yourself and the creative process? This is the intuitive painting I did with my creative soul sister Sarah Whitmire. We had no plan for what it would be, we just let the painting unfold as we went along. This is tricky enough as it is, but try doing that live in front of an audience! I was nervous at first, but quickly got lost in the wave of inspiration, dancing around with the other artist and letting our muses play. It was an incredible experience in the 10 hours I painted with Sarah, and I truly opened up to a style of painting I don’t normally allow myself to do: free-spirited and expressive abstract art. The dark of the moon is a rich time to create space to listen to your own information. These gatherings will be a sanctuary with like minded women to create art and magic. Each month will have new potent energy guided by a different theme and format. We will share practices for self reflection including meditation, movement and dance, shamanic journey, guided visualization, and a creative project that holds the energy of our evening together. Let's pause and take a moment outside our regular life to circle up around the altar and to listen to that voice within us that needs her time to be heard. There is a long goddess tradition of gathering in harmony with the moon. Let's share our women's wisdom nurturing and supporting each other.
