🔱 Scissors Crown Claus belt progress: Making the belts! There are three. I'm making them with the same faux leather, with an inner core of a nylon webbing (to bulk up the leather) and styrene (for extra stability.) It's been very tedious, especially since my sewing machine now hates faux leather. Or me. 🔱 Scissors Crown Claus belt progress: The sewing is done!! It’s not finished yet though- - it still needs all the gold decorative bits, which have yet to be designed and made. Getting there! ✂ The pouch opens with a magnetic snap on the front. I put two more snaps on the back belt loops so that it’ll be easily detachable from the belt. The whole thing is made of thin faux leather and a beautiful black and gold cotton, with a sturdy core made of pieces of styrene. Scissors Crown Claus belt pouch progress: 🔱 The framework is good, and I'm onto sewing the real thing! Using a thin black leather fabric with a layer of flannel underneath to help smooth it out. The framework rigid part (not shown) is pieces of styrene tightly sandwiched into fabric. Scissors Crown Claus belt pouch progress: 🔱 Still working on another draft for the core piece of the pouch. Having a hard time concentrating on it, so why not take some pictures of it instead? 😅 Here you can see my very sloppy notes. I'll probably forget what I meant in another two weeks. Maybe this draft will be done by then. Maybe the pouch will even be sewn by then?! ✂ Sometimes when I draft patterns, I like to mark seam allowances in different colors when they're different lengths.
