Scissors Crown progress: ✂ Found my page of calculations for the shape and size of the "skirt" panels for my mom's outfit... Trig always manages to make its way into my cosplay planning! 🔱 We started with the waist and length measurements, and how wide the cutout section in the center would be. From there, I reasoned out what the shape of each fabric panel would need to be in order to get the desired hem circumference. Then to true up the long diagonal edges of the panels so they can be sewn together easily, I had to do trig... it ended up that some panels became narrower and some became wider, but it kept the general circumference we want. ✂ With that new sizing knowledge, I'm able to use grid paper to get a much better sense of how much fabric this thing will use, and placement of pieces on the fabric.
