i just think that they would be adorable as a team

my head canon is that they lived on the same street as children and bonded because none of the other kids wanted to hang with them (their loss of course)

they just had fun singing and dancing and putting on shows in rachel’s basement

and when artie had his accident, rachel was the first person he trusted to push his wheelchair and i like the idea of rachel and artie in little yellow hard hats ‘overseeing’ the ramps being built in artie’s home

and because it’s me, i can’t not have angst. so when rachel goes to highschool and artie is still in middle school, they don’t hang out as much. and then artie and his mom move house and suddenly they barely see each other. it’s not until the new directions form that rachel and artie get back into the swing of things
