Here's my late entry for @artcultcollective #artculthallows number 4: "Extinct Feet", input by @kyleluciengold. Do you know anything about the Cordyceps? Well, they're a parasitic "zombifying" fungus. The one I drew is Cordyceps Ignota, it starts as a little harmless spore that begins to consume all the insides of tarantulas, little by little until all is replaced by the fungus and this "Fingers" called mycelium, hatch from the exoskeleton, killing the host and letting the new spores continue its cycle. I borrowed Reuters' photographer, Mark Barker's picture of an Australian funnel web spider 'cause I loved the pose.
