I’m one chapter in and fellas, I fear that I’m picking up on some subtle commentary on wealth inequality in Andy “I don’t put politics into my books” Weir’s Artemis.

One thing I’m loving about the Hail Mary movie is that people are finally looking at Andy Weir’s books. He’s an incredible writer and I started reading his work in the novel Artemis before I watched and read The Martian, then finally Hail Mary before the movie came out.

The fact that people had been sleeping on this man’s books for years baffles me, but I’m so happy and proud that he’s getting the audience he deserves for all three books.

(Seriously, if you haven’t jumped on the band wagon to read these books then hop on because they are beautiful masterpieces about humanity and the persistence of compassion and community and the human spirit.)
