@artemispolarbear in response to your last message about cone troubles:
@artemispolarbear I don’t wanna throw this on that post but it looks like a biscuit because scones over there are usually either plain or have dried red currants they are literally so bland unless you dip them in melted butter
Basically, scones - like pretty much all other foods that have migrated over to the US - follow the “lets get creative and see what happens” trend. Just like how Italian-American food or Chinese-American food are their own cuisine genre, same thing with scones.
Honestly I think that’s one of the wonderful things about food in America - people bring their recipes over with them and it’s like what happens when a species gets stuck on an island in the middle of nowhere and evolves in a direction so thoroughly unrecognizable from its original genetic design that it takes scientists ages to figure out its related at all. Strawberry Peanut Butter Scones with Toffee Bits Baked In are just following the Fosters Rule
What are your current big interests?
Ooh! Um let’s see... Ice cream definitely! We just put together a Lavender-Peach Sorbet for one of the restaurants it's a pretty butter yellow color after freezing and it will be awesome! Been having a lot of fun with the flavors this summer :D Also, Yuri! On Ice - I just watched that finally last week and I don't k ow if you've noticed but it's been making an appearance on my tumblr. Embroidery! I'm almost done with my fish and it's been a lot of fun to learn because now I have all these things I want to fix with tears or little holes but I don't want to forget that the hole one was there and move on, I guess? That sounds a bit silly. ALSO apparently Nashville has Curling clubs!!!!!!!! And I want to join one now that I live somewhere where I can! Curling is my favorite Olympic winter sport it is legit the friendliest sport and I really want to try it!
What was your favorite episode of Yuri! on Ice? Favorite character? Favorite skate?
Oh wow I don't think I'm at the point where I can pick a favorite episode yet, I'm still in the multiple re-watch stage o.o but WOW I can definitely see why it was so immediately popular??? And the struggling with anxiety is so relateable omg. I think it's a toss up between Phichit and Yuuri, right now they're definitely my favorite characters from the show. I think probably the exhibition skate at the end where they skate together to the aria sung as a duet - and I really love that, how it's sung as a solo in the first episode gives it a swan song quality and the tone is completely 180 at the end! BUT. I did also see the Welcome to the Madness exhibition skate video so I DON’T KNOW ANYMORE. Jesus - that kid has a rag doll cat (the cuddliest most gentle for kids cat breed) and named it Puma-Tiger-Scorpion, I can't even -

artemispolarbear replied to your post “i also dont know anyone who’d be willing to subject themselves to...”
I literally play mostly against the AI and am in all honestly pretty crappy for the level I am, so
ive been doing AI stuff too, im afraid of other ppl lol
Do you have a favorite flavor ice cream?
Ooh!! Okay this is hard - at work, probably the strawberry rhubarb or the marshmallow ice cream we made this spring. One of my favorite flavors ever was a rose-violet swirl with meringue crunchies sprinkled on top! I will do murder for very very good rainbow sherbet though. And right now we have a roasted pineapple sorbet with dark rum and lime at work that is really good.
